Beirut Metro Map (2005)

There is no metro transit system in Lebanon. The artist created this fictional metro guide to represent the legacy of Beirut’s demarcation line. His metro lines abruptly stop at the Green Line, forcing passengers to walk through the dreaded wartime checkpoints before resuming their journeys on the other side of the city. The trip instructions given in the guide include disjointed wartime anecdotes related to each crossing point.
